Bolloré Télécom: the big winner in the awarding of WiMAX licenses

On Friday 7th July, ARCEP awarded Bolloré Télécom, the consortium bringing together Hub télécom, Bolloré and Antalis TV, 12 regional WiMAX licenses Aquitaine, AuvergneBrittany, Corsica, Franche-Comté, Ile-de-France, Languedoc-Roussillon, Limousin, Midi-Pyrénées, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Picardie and Rhône-Alpes.

It should be remenbered that Wednesday 1st February, Hub télécom was the first company to submit its application to ARCEP for attribution of the WiMAX frequencies, a project with a country-wide scope covering the 22 French metropolitan regions.

To achieve the goals of our consortium project 'Bolloré Télécom', we equipped ourselves with the necessary technical skills and financial means : we joined forces with two major players –  Bolloré, for their media involvement and financing capacity, and Antalis TV, for its expertise in high altitude deployments. Hub télécom's contribution to the consortium is its expertise in telecommunications and mobile solutions. Together, we created Bolloré Télécom, a new telecom operator in France which has the means to realize its ambitions.
